A HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up and stood up for our shores and species this past weekend! ππ π
Together, communities across Florida sent a loud and clear message: protect our wildlife, defend clean water, and keep offshore drilling OUT of our Gulf.
And weβre just getting started. Stay involved in the fight to Save Our Shores by signing up for updates (and your FREE SOS bumper sticker) at https://t.co/4Alrp52gpm π
π¨ ACTION ALERT: For the second year in a row, the Florida Legislature is proposing to divert previously appropriated Florida Wildlife Corridor funds to purchase coastal property in Okaloosa County β this time, a 2-acre, flood-prone parcel on Choctawhatchee Bay.
This proposal bypasses the science-based Florida Forever process in favor of politically connected coastal landowners, while critical conservation projects across the state remain unfunded β including priority projects in Okaloosa County itself.
Floridians want real investments in conservation, not political games with funding meant to safeguard our natural resources. Take action NOW to tell your legislators to reject this proposal and protect the Florida Wildlife Corridor Fund in the state budget!
