Lesbian Action Group (@ActiveLesbians) when they said, “we can legally marry a woman but we can’t hold events exclusively to meet a wife.” The sad reality is that Equality Australia, an organization that was successful in championing same-sex marriage now has a legacy of intervening in the full Federal Court specifically against LAG to stop female only lesbian events (like there’s any other kind) and arguing that sex is now a spectrum. To paraphrase a famous quote, we’ve taken a small step forward and a giant leap back.

That is exactly the problem. We believe the SDA because we can see precisely what it has done: it has systematically stripped away the sex-based rights and protections of Australian women and girls. If Sex Discrimination Commissioner Anna Cody thought this article would quell the noise, she is sorely mistaken.

Cody’s column is a masterclass in institutional gaslighting. She looks Australian women in the eye and boldly claims there is "no evidence" 🤥 that men are harming women and girls in toilets and change-rooms. But she conveniently hides why that evidence is missing. Australia has gone so far down the gurgler on this rubbish that our justice system no longer records biological sex of offenders. When a bloke who claims to be a woman commits an offence, he is absorbed into female crime statistics. The data is broken by design to protect a political narrative, and Cody is using that engineered silence to claim women are safe. 🤨

To prop up this illusion, she executes a spectacular historical deception. She hooks her argument on 1993 court precedents, completely omitting that those early rulings were strictly tethered to irreversible medical and surgical criteria. By conflating the highly regulated medical precedents of 1993 with today’s self-identification (no medical or surgical criteria required) model, Cody's piece obscures how significantly the legal baseline has shifted beneath women's feet. 🧐

Never once in her entire article does Cody indicate she is actually concerned for the privacy, safety, or dignity of women and girls. Cody's sole anxiety is for the feelings of men who claim to be women. We see right through the two-faced rhetoric. Due to the Australian sex discrimination commissioners interpretation of the law women are having to:

• Go to the high court to reestablish that we are still included in the legislation that was created specifically for us
• Lesbians have to go to a tribunal for a second time to reestablish that heterosexual men are not lesbians
• A woman is being dragged through a state tribunal for saying that men who claim to be women cannot breastfeed
• Women are losing both employment & volunteer positions for asserting the *fact* that men are not women
• A woman is appealing a $95,000 fine for using publicly available information to inform people that there are men in women’s sport
• Women are being threatened with punishment if they don’t compete with the men in sport
• School aged girls are not drinking water at school - or not attending at all for the week of their period - so they don’t have to use unisex bathrooms
• Women currently & formally in prison are revealing the sexual assaults they have experienced due to men who claim to be women locked in cells with them

The current *interpretation* of Australia’s sex discrimination act - accepted by the full federal court for reasons known only to them - is not creating less discrimination. In fact, it’s creating much more. Interestingly, it’s simultaneously proving that everyone knows exactly who the women & girls actually are, because we’re the ones being punished.

Gender ideology has failed and is being rejected in almost every other country it attempted to thrive within. It has brought down the careers of many politicians who didn’t have the metaphorical balls to acknowledge reality and fix the problem. To think that Australian is any different is as ignorant as it is insane.

This is not a “culture war”, @AlboMP. It’s a war on women & girls.
