This was my winning poster at last year's Open University's Mental Health & Wellbeing Conference. A helpful reminder at this time of year, to make sure you plan activities into your day to stay mentally well. When you give so much of yourself to others, self-compassion is vital❤️
Decades of research/insights on change & transformation are largely ignored by those leading change says @Digitaltonto. Transformational initiatives are seen as exercises in persuasion, with leaders designing slogans to “create a sense of urgency” & shift attitudes, assuming that will change behaviours. It won't. We should look for guidance from the bigger studies that show diffusion approaches where ideas are transmitted socially. His advice? Supporting enthusiasts to build their power for change will give better results than broadcasting slogans for change: https://t.co/TfCy8lDPV7

The only fighting I’m doing is for a better future for all Australians, using words, patience, understanding and acts of love and solidarity.
I want this to go viral: I’m sending my heartfelt thanks to all who are helping to make this possible by deciding to vote ‘Yes’ with us.
I’m proud of anyone breaking the cycle. Healing their inner child. Learning how to regulate their emotions. People don’t talk about how much humility it takes. Inner work goes unnoticed and unrecognized.
I see you.
@timbocop Looking forward to your refreshing entangled pedagogy @timbocop and so pleased you’ve opened this up to all! Too often we consider modality as either or, so I am embracing the entanglement.
We do our best work when we feel we're able to work with high levels of autonomy; to make decisions & experiment for improvement. That will only happen if our systems are designed for autonomy. Bureaucracy isnot inevitable. We can, and should, design it out: https://t.co/5L0JNOWBRO By @PaulIanTaylor
I've just been rereading Peter Senge's 1985 paper "System principles for leadership". It's so ahead of its era & timelessly relevant. The principles summarised in five points at the start of the paper are so appropriate for many of the change challenges we face as leaders right now:
