Fantastic MDT trauma sim with @LeedsEDSim. Burns moulage for immersive experience and then transition to trauma manikin for advanced airway management. Great learning points about communication, preparation and leadership. Fab work!

[Leeds ED Sim @LeedsEDSim]

A great simulation today around Rapid Tranquillisation in Acute Behavioural Disturbance . Thanks to @dafyddbhj , @MyiED and the security team for enabling a beneficial testing of our policies.

[Leeds ED Sim @LeedsEDSim]

Can you feel the tension in the room?! @MyiED sim today with @MedEdLeeds After sim we had some impromptu chest drain teaching for ACPs, JCFs and CT3 on the shop floor! A little education on the shop floor can make your shift a little more manageable sometimes 😊

[Leeds ED Sim @LeedsEDSim]

Fascinating sim today @MyiED with discussion about organ donation&when it is appropriate to consider. Not something we deal with a lot in the ED but the impact it can have cannot be underestimated. @NHSOrganDonor @leeds_liver @LTHKidneys @MedEdLeeds Early SNOD involvement vital!

[Yorkshire Society of Emergency Medicine - YSEM @EMYorkshire]

Pausing and summarising findings are so important when there are multiple things ongoing. Share that mental model with the team around you! @MyiED @MedEdLeeds Today’s scenario was written and facilitated by @CharlieCassidy0 thank you & well done! You did it!

[Amy Cawthorne @Acawthorne30]

@DrBenLovell @MyiED @EMYorkshire @RCollEM Ways we have tried to counteract these views are by:
• covering the shop floor so the doctors can go to teaching
• even allocation to areas i.e Resus • sharing practical procedures out • whole MDT in situ simulation @LeedsEDSim
