According to every empirical study, Israeli occupation and colonization of the West Bank are the leading cause of the Christian migration out of Palestine. This is an example of how this works:
The Israelis are eliminating one of the last Christian Palestinians strongholds in the West Bank and the place I chose to stay when I was researching the Palestinian Christians in From the Holy Mountain. It is a place with an incredibly ancient history, a cradle of Christianity, and its people have some of the closest DNA matches to the people of the time of Christ. Why is no one reporting this?
@ori_goldberg "We are the only real people in the world." - I've said it before and will many times again I am sure, but so much of Israeli reality resonates with me as an American, our shared settler colonial experiences can't help but show themselves.

This is a little under 16.95 dollars an hour of compensation for being in prison for a little more than 48 years in prison. Money can't ever compensate for the damage and its an insultingly low number.
The (purposive) intent requirement for the warcrime of human shielding - "utilizing civilians to render mil forces immune from mil ops" - is often hard to infer from conduct. And sometimes it is not hard at all:
"This is our conception of security: the way we keep us secure is to abuse, to kill." Investigations by CNN, the UN, and Israeli media exposed alleged abuse of Palestinians in Israeli detention centers, which the IDF and the prison service have denied. Now a new report from @btselem gathers testimony from former detainees, alleging serious abuses and deaths of Palestinians across multiple prisons and detention centers. I spoke with B'Tselem's executive director, Yuli Novak, about what she says is "a pattern" that makes her "ashamed, as an Israeli."
The thing about how every accusation is a confession? One of the popular talking point is that Hamas loots the aid. Looks like it’s the Israeli military recording themselves doing it

CPJ calls on Israel to stop making unproven claims that journalists slain by its forces are terrorists or engaging in militant activity, and demands international, swift, and independent investigations into these killings.

Meanwhile,< half of aid missions planned this month were facilitated & Israeli restrictions hindered the flow of everything from vaccines & antibiotics to nutrition for newborns+pregnant women

So Israel could have a ceasefire deal with Hamas and avert an attack from Iran and all they have to do is accept the terms that Israel itself already laid out and approved — and everybody is pretty sure they won’t do that.
