The students used the engineering design process to create their own Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons or floats after learning about the history of the parade and how engineers create the balloons each year.

Today we had fun adding in fitness to our math lesson. Students answered questions as a team for a chance to spin the spinner and either win points for their team or an exercise challenge.

Lastly, our fifth graders used the engineering design process to create and modify cable cars to safely bring a Peep bunny down and land safely on a platform.

Kindergarten students had the chance to create a slide for Humpty Dumpty to get safely off his wall only using paper and tape.

Fourth graders learned how to make a reusable bag out of an old shirt.

For their 1000th day of school, some of our 5th grade students got to visit the White House which is about 1,000km away from our school!

Thanks to the @EdgewoodPrimary PTO for purchasing the supplies, our K-2 students were able to do their own chemistry experiments inspired from our presentation before break from the IU Chemistry Department

CS Week was celebrated at @EdgewoodPrimary & @EISEagles this week through many different activities like coding their own game on @ScratchJr, engineering a plow to put on Botley and then coding it to clean up snowballs, and doing some of the Hour of Code games on @codeorg

Half of our 3rd grade students are eagerly and collaboratively working on the PLTW module Forces & Motion, while the other half are working through the Scientific Inquiry Process in the Variation of Traits module.

My favorite April Fools prank that they fall for every time. They were so excited to go out and try to find the rare Sloof Lirpa bird.
