🚨🦉 Important Announcement🦉🚨
A new friend of Sheffield Wednesday and the Supporters Trust, who prefers to remain anonymous, has been incredibly impressed by the outpouring of support for the effort to raise money for this important cause and has made an incredibly generous pledge to match every gift, up to £35,000 raised by supporters towards this effort.
We’re currently on £27,910, meaning we need to raise the final £7,090 to unlock the full £35,000 contribution.
If we do, a £35,000 supporter-led campaign becomes a £70,000 investment in Sheffield Wednesday supporters and young people across our community.
That means more season tickets, more match tickets, more mascot experiences, more shirts, and the chance to reach even more children who dream of being part of Sheffield Wednesday but may never otherwise get the opportunity. It means creating memories with parents, grandparents and friends that will last a lifetime, helping young people feel connected to their club, their city and their community. The donor has recognised just how important family and community are in Sheffield, and wants to help open the door for the next generation of Wednesdayites.
The donor recognised something we’ve all seen: when Wednesdayites are given the chance to help one another, they step forward. In discussing the donation, they impressed upon us a simple message:
“We’re All Wednesday Aren’t We?”
That spirit is exactly what Sheffield Wednesday is about.
This fanbase has already achieved something remarkable.
Now we have the opportunity to turn £35,000 into £70,000.

“The idea itself is straightforward… We want to make it easier for people to support Sheffield Wednesday.”
#SWFC fans have shown their class once more as they look to do their bit in forging the Wednesdayites of the future. https://t.co/azbrW1VGR2 🦉⚽️
Good luck today Bolton Wanderers. We’ll never forget the support we received from certain clubs during our darkest hour, and Bolton were one of them.
A genuine thank you from many Wednesdayites for that support when it mattered most. Class recognises class. 🤝

Dear @swfc fans… best fans in the whole wide world,
It’s been a whole 2 weeks ( not 2 months ) since we kicked off our stewardship of this great club.
Thanks for your outpouring of support / response to our release of season ticket sales. Credit to David Bruce & co for putting in the thought and designing a fan centric offering.
Hopefully you’ve seen work began at Hillsborough, firstly around improving fan safety. Once completed, more to follow… much!
Designing plan for training grounds, 1 ) in preparation for upcoming season; 2) with future in mind. Our mission is to give our 1st team and others in our playing family the best in facilities, for proper training and recovery. More to follow!
David B & co very focused on building the squad to carry us through next season and beyond… this is our top #1 priority and will receive outsized attention.
And even with restrictions placed on us for the next two seasons due to prior owners behavior, @michaelestorch, Tom and I have unwavering confidence in David and his football brain trust to make all of us @swfc fans proud. We strive to put a great team on the pitch!
Even while back in the States, please know our entire focus and energy is squarely on making Sheffield Wednesday the best all around club and fan experience we can. We will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do!
We will give it our all… for you! This is your club!
David
I personally feel it’s a real a positive step from the club with the release of the Season Ticket prices alongside the interest-free option.
The age category increases will benefit loads of families.
Bringing back previous season ticket holders at the same cost is a great nod to those who wouldn’t buy off the previous custodian.
Also think it’s important to note that the club needs to generate revenue to invest into the footballing side of operations because of financial restrictions. Balancing the revenue required to progress on the pitch alongside affordability is clearly a fine line to manage.
We can pack that ground out and really drive the club on!
Notes taken from the website -
Fans can secure their seat with 20% upfront and spread the remaining balance across four monthly payments, with:
• No interest
• No set-up fees
• No credit checks
That bit feels big.

A #SWFC observation.
Whilst it’s all exciting with investors announced and the embryo of plans going forward. Let’s have a bit of realism. We are at rock bottom. There is a whole heap of infrastructure work to complete in the next 90 days. Not only the ground and training facility but also season tickets and new kits on sale, players to come and go. It’s going to be a ride but even it doesn’t go smooth don’t lose your heads. This will take a while and mistakes will be made, be calm and enjoy what’s happening for the first time in years. Let’s get to August and take one game at a time. #wawaw
Over a week has passed since what I’d genuinely describe as the greatest atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed at Hillsborough.
As a fan, being trusted with the @SWFCTrust socials to promote Honolulu Wednesday backed by the club itself was surreal. It was probably the best day I’ve ever experienced following Sheffield Wednesday.
Relief. Optimism. Joy. Goosebumps all over the stadium.
For a long time, my involvement has largely been organising protests, pushing campaigns and fighting for change. Sometimes that inevitably became divisive, even when the intentions were always about protecting the future of our club. It’s caused me issues both at home and in my real job.
But we all did it for days like that.
For a fresh start.
For hope.
For the future of a very special football club.
For the first time in a very long time, I genuinely love my football club again. And honestly, I cannot wait to see what’s coming.
