There’s been so many traumatic experiences I’ve picked up during this pandemic, on grounds of other people’s lives and my own.
My heartfelt prayers remain with those that are left to deal with situations bigger than them alone, those who’s mental health stands on thin ice ..1/2

The future cannot be shaped without those who will inherit it. 🌍
At the 2026 SDG Moment, Ms Monica Geingos, UN SDG Advocate joined United Nations Deputy Secretary-General H.E. Amina J. Mohammed for a fireside conversation on leadership, inclusion and the future of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The discussion highlighted the importance of bringing young people to the table, not only to be heard, but also to help shape decisions, solutions and the future itself.
In a world with a growing young population, the gap between young people and those making decisions about their future cannot be ignored.
Speaking during the conversation, Ms Geingos emphasised that “age does not determine whether someone is a good or a bad leader,” but that there is a significant gap between leadership and youth.
“We need to make space, give up some power and resources, and enable real, serious decision-making.”
Young people may not always speak in the language of the SDGs, but they live the realities they seek to address, from finding employment and accessing healthcare and education to navigating inequality and social and political challenges.
Leadership means knowing when to step forward and when to step back, creating space for the next generation to lead.
Let us listen, make room and ensure that young people have a meaningful role in shaping the world they will inherit.
Together, We Can Do It.

A message too important not to share. #DisabilityInclusion
