If it weren’t for @NWestbyYPSport I would know nothing about what goes on in Superleague basketball. And I am actually trying to follow as much as I can.

Love this. The trick is getting everyone to buy in. Is it the character of the players, the way the message is delivered, or the messenger? Probably all three.
Bold statement: Emotions beat teams more than their opponents do. The price of admission for championship-level performance is the ability to stay present.
The OKC Thunder’s championship rings have 0-0 Mentality on them — here’s why:
It can't be all three's and layups. Sometimes the midrange shot is the best shot. Depends on the player and the situation, i.e. what else was available. Very reasoned response.
JJ Redick joked in his pregame media about how Chris Finch told him he was taking too many midrange shots when Finch was a coach of Redick's in New Orleans -- despite Redick telling Finch he had a "top 5 midrange efficiency for 8 seasons in a row".
I asked Finch about that and, more broadly, about coaching shot selection.
(His answer starts out as a joke, but I thought also had some good nuggets in there about teaching shot selection -- referencing the value of the midrange showing up with Ant's game-sealing shot in Portland on Wednesday.)
Nice to see a former WBBL player forging a career in sports in the US using her PHD in Sport Psychology from the University of Essex. Looks like some good stuff in here.
Great podcast feat @610_Performance lots of nuggets to help support your athletes. Also discusses her research on the effectiveness of the pre-game speech. A must-listen for every coach! https://t.co/iqMD74yANs
mindboggling to me that this stuff can go unreported. Seen it before in the British basketball world(not talking about the pro league this time) so shouldn't be surprised. Imagine the NBA pretending that nothing happened when a player got in trouble for gambling issues.
@PGCbasketball Purdue knew their inbounds coverage guy was going to pick up the player coming off the high screen. The big defender needed to stay on his man so the inbound pass couldn't be made so easily. That was a mistake. Very understandable but a mistake nevertheless.
Amazing! I've watched Holly since she was a junior playing up with the women and she has consistently improved every year. Anything is possible for her. As she said, if not this year, then next year.
@Hoopsfix I'm 14 minutes in and find it very difficult to listen as Mr. Grant won't answer the questions. It's a lot like a congressional inquiry in the US. I'll keep going hoping it gets better.
So I was trying to explain to a family member what was happening in British Basketball, telling them that a new group was found that was bidding on the licence for the pro league. they said, "Oh, is it 888?"
@Hoopsfix@BUCSsport Nice play, but I'm distracted by all the lines!🤯 I'm with you, until we get more dedicated basketball courts we will struggle to move forward.
