The God of the Bible is the God who rules. He issues His sovereign decrees of election from His royal throne and executes His plan of salvation, drawing sinners to Himself by His efficacious, transforming, and persevering grace.
Every team needs to be reminded of their purpose regularly. What is our creed? What do we stand for? What are we working towards? Purpose orients the thinking and behavior of the entire group as they navigate the complex landscape of choices.
"Jesus loves me this I know for...the Bible/my church/'spiritual' experiences/mother... tells me so." Theological thinking requires us to understand not only what we believe but how we come to believe what we believe as well.
