@KjetilVisnes @RosendahlKE Glad you agree the mechanism we highlight is relevant for some Arctic areas. Granted, it may have less force in others. If Norway stopped exploration in the Barents, it would slow down progress in Arctic drilling/transport technology, making it more expensive for other players.

The driving tech assumption is taken straight from then-Statoil's dir. of exploration: "the full potential in the Arctic can only be tapped through innovation and technological improvements and by getting costs down."
