Brothers Liam and Ellis Barrie have closed their Lerpwl restaurant in Liverpool after its landlord demanded a £30,000 payment in a dispute over pandemic rent debt

Perfect meal in @LerpwlRest no photo, just took the time to enjoy it. Confit duck leg. Simple yet considered. Wandered in unexpectedly and asked the team for a plate of their choice. Read me to a T. A glass of Amarone to wash it down 👌 The restorative power of hospitality.

@HassayJohn @SouthLondonGirl @LerpwlRest Six course menu. Beetroot with horseradish ice cream, lamb & mussel cawl, cod, scouse, pork, rhubarb/ginger/miso. Went last year and it was good but it was superb last night. Every course was spot on.
