When @NBA says we stand for justice, don’t forget there are those who sell their soul for money & business like @chamath the owner of @warriors,
who says “Nobody cares about what’s happening to the Uyghurs”
When genocides happen, it is people
like this that let it happen
Shame!
I, for one, don't think the world's only superpower capable of projecting sustained power across the globe should devote itself to sinking everything into welfare programs so we can succumb comfortably. Seems like surrender to me. But maybe I'm just out of touch with The Folks!
The alternative to America's presence around the world isn't a stable peace from which we can comfortably withdraw. It is spheres of influence, multipolarity, instability, disrupted or nonexistent commerce, and, eventually, our influence being targeted by aspiring great powers.
@NoahCRothman Anyone who is in favor of withdrawing our presence from the globe in order to "take care of our own" is making a losing bet that the world will simply allow that to happen without exacting some measure of revenge. When they chant "death to America," I believe them.
Nine C-17 Globemaster IIIs arrived in Kabul, Afghanistan recently delivering equipment and approximately 1000 troops. Seven flights departed, transporting approximately 600 passengers, 165 of which were American citizens.
