🚨#BREAKING: An off-duty firefighter is being hailed as a hero after he rescued TWO CHILDREN FROM A TEXAS LAKE WITH NO PULSE...
...PERFORMED CPR ON THEM AND BROUGHT THEM BOTH BACK TO LIFE ON TOP OF THEIR CAPSIZED BOAT!!!!!
His name is Jason Horne.
He was on Alvarado Lake celebrating the 4th with his 12-year-old daughter Emilie when people started screaming and waving them down.
A boat carrying NINE people had flipped and THREE children were trapped underneath it.
Jason immediately dove in to rescue them.
Under that boat, he found a little boy, he saved him, and then dove back in.
He felt a foot, it was a little girl and Jason tore her loose and brought her back, but she did not have a pulse.
He dragged her ON TOP OF THE CAPSIZED BOAT and performed CPR until she began breathing again.
He and others then flipped the boat and found a little boy with anchor rope WRAPPED AROUND HIS BODY.
The boy also did not have a pulse, he performed CPR on the boy until he got a pulse.
Astonishingly, ALL THREE KIDS SURVIVED!!!!
Every single one went home to their families.
His department said it best: "When others needed help most, Jason did what firefighters do. He stepped up without hesitation."
A 12-year-old girl sat in that boat and watched her father dive into a lake and come back up carrying other people's children.
She will spend the rest of her life knowing EXACTLY what a hero looks like.
He looks like her dad.
GOD BLESS JASON HORNE!!!!!!!🇺🇸

The Republican nominee for governor of Colorado has a unique resume.
@willsommer explains who Victor Marx is to @Timodc and @samstein.
Trump ousted all three members of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, a bipartisan agency that works with state officials to ensure free and fair elections.
Nice try, Mr. President.
We won't let you sabotage the midterm elections. This is a democracy, not a dictatorship.
🚨 Why does August 3 matter in Mitch McConnell's hospitalization?
Because that's where law, politics, and Senate power collide.
If McConnell can no longer serve before Aug. 3, Kentucky's new vacancy law appears to require a special election for the remainder of his term. But that same law may conflict with the Kentucky Constitution, setting up a potentially explosive court battle over whether Gov. Andy Beshear can appoint an interim senator.
If the vacancy occurs after Aug. 3, legal analysis suggests there would likely be **no special election** for the remainder of McConnell's term. Instead, Kentucky could be left with only one U.S. senator until the winner of the already-scheduled November election takes office in January.
Now consider the timing.
McConnell isn't just another senator. He chairs the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense and has been a central figure as Republicans work to pass Trump's proposed $1 trillion+ defense budget.
Yet despite weeks of hospitalization, the public has received remarkably little information about whether he is actually capable of carrying out those responsibilities.
None of this proves anyone is delaying an announcement for political reasons.
But it does create an obvious political incentive to tightly control information until after one of the most consequential legal deadlines in Kentucky's Senate succession process.
When the timing of disclosure could influence a constitutional fight, Senate representation, and trillion-dollar legislation, transparency stops being just a medical issue.
It becomes a matter of public accountability.
This is another attempt by Donald Trump to undermine free, secure, and fair elections and impede our democratic process.
He’s trying to take away the states’ power to run elections — and I’ll keep fighting him every step of the way.
And if the President tries to pack this bipartisan, independent commission with his hack friends, I’ll do everything in my power to protect our elections.

This is a BIG red flag.
Ahead of the midterms, Donald Trump FIRED all members of the independent Election Assistance Commission—people confirmed unanimously by the Senate to make sure we have free and fair elections.
We can't let Trump rig the next election.
Every American — regardless of political party — should be horrified at yet another blatant effort by President Trump to eradicate every safeguard of free and fair elections.
If Republicans remain silent in the face of his obvious attempts to rig the election, they are complicit in allowing our democracy to crumble.
Eric Trump just lost the family $600 million on a disastrous Bitcoin bet
Eric Trump spent Thursday morning bragging about getting an airport named after his dad. Hours later, the world learned he had just vaporized more than $600 million of the family fortune.
According to a new Bloomberg report, American Bitcoin, the crypto venture Eric helped launch and now runs as chief strategy officer, has completely cratered since going public last year, shedding over 95 percent of its value from its September high.
Things got so desperate this week that the company had to bundle every 15 shares into a single share just to stay listed on the Nasdaq. The stock still hit a record low on Wednesday.
Bloomberg calculates the crash has wiped out more than $600 million of Eric's stake in just 10 months. His brother Donald Trump Jr. advises the same firm.
Eric's big strategy was to bet everything on Bitcoin itself, stockpiling the coin while rival mining companies pivoted to renting out computing power to AI firms and watched their stocks soar. American Bitcoin refused to adapt, and investors have paid the price ever since.
His advice to the people holding the bag? "Just hold on, guys," he told a Las Vegas crypto conference in April. "Just hold on."
The timing made it all the more humiliating. Just hours before the report dropped, Eric posted a gushing tribute celebrating Palm Beach International Airport being renamed after his father, writing that he was "happy to have played a big role in making this happen."
He played a big role in this one too.

In the most affluent, most powerful nation in the world, everyone who works full time should be able to pay their bills. A minimum wage should be a living wage. And that’s $25 an hour.
The billionaire class will say we can’t afford it. They are wrong. We can.

There are 23 current members of Congress age 80 and older.
Unbelievably, 9 of those are seeking reelection in November.
Here are the octogenarians seeking reelection, yet again:

Why are taxpayers footing the bill for an elite nursing home?
We need term limits NOW.
THE SWAMP WEARS ROBES Republicans screamed "drain the swamp" while dark-money kingpin Leonard Leo secretly wired $80K+ to Ginni Thomas.
His instructions? "NO MENTION OF GINNI, OF COURSE." That's not politics. That's a crime boss covering his tracks.
Ginni Thomas texted the White House to overthrow the 2020 election while her husband Clarence sat on the Supreme Court. The same dark-money group filed briefs before his court.
Clarence was caught taking millions in luxury vacations, real estate deals, and private tuition from billionaire GOP donors—all while ruling on their cases.
The Federalist Society didn't just pick judges. They bought them.
Why are voting rights dying and corporations always winning? Because Leonard Leo owns Clarence Thomas, Ginni tried to steal your vote, and Clarence lets it slide.
Democrats want a judicial code of ethics. Republicans want a cover-up.
If you believe the Supreme Court should have term limits and higher ethical standards, drop a heart to show your support 💙
The now infamous open letter from Amber Tamblyn to MAGAt James Woods, as published in @TeenVogue.
Dear Mr. Woods,
What you are experiencing is called a teachable moment. It is called a gift. It is called a humbling. It is called Jesus, I come to thee. It is called an awakening. It is called a growth edge. It is called hope.
The hope being that through this experience, you can change. You can redefine the man who will come after this moment and this man who came before.
Since you've now called me a liar, I will now call you a silencer. I see your gaslight and now will raise you a scorched earth.
My friend Billy and I were at the Roxy on Sunset Boulevard seeing a band we loved. We decided to go to Mel's diner on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood to get burgers after. I had just gotten my driver's license and very specifically remember my nervousness trying to park in the diner parking lot. Upon leaving the restaurant we were stopped by you and your friend, who both seemed very nice. At one point you suggested we should all go to Las Vegas together. "It's such a great place, have you ever been?" You tried to make it sound innocent. This is something predatory men like to do, I've noticed. Make it sound innocent. Just a dollop of insinuation. Just a hair of persuasion. Just a pinch of suggestion. "It will be so much fun, I promise you. Nothing has to happen, we will just have a good time together." I told you my age, kindly and with no judgment or aggression. I told you my age because I thought you would be immediately horrified and take back your offer. You laughed and said, "Even better. We'll have so much fun, I promise."
Here's the thing, Mr. Woods. At that time I was not a public persona. I had done a couple years on a soap opera as an actress, but you wouldn't know me from Adam. I'm sure you've racked your brain trying to remember how you could've possibly hit on the actress Amber Tamblyn at a diner almost two decades ago. You think, it's not possible, there's no way I would've been so stupid as to hit on a 16-year-old known actress. But I wasn't known then, James. I was just a girl. And I'm going to wager that there have been many girls who were just girls or women who were just women who you've done this to because you can get away with it.
The saddest part of this story doesn't even concern me but concerns the universal woman's story. The nation's harmful narrative of disbelieving women first, above all else. Asking them to first corroborate or first give proof or first make sure we're not misremembering or first consider the consequences of speaking out or first let men give their side or first just let your sanity come last.
So it is with hope, Mr. Woods, that I ask you to go inward now and ask yourself the hard stuff. The ominous unconscious stuff. The archetypal masculinity stuff. The power-play stuff. The perversion persuasion stuff. The secretive stuff. The id's most cherished stuff.
Only you and your darkness know who you are. Only you and your actions know what you've done. That means you and only you have the power to change your behavior.
Are you and your history with women and girls a part of the problem, Mr. Woods?
Go now and look in the mirror and ask yourself if this is true. Go on, I'll wait. But I won't hold my breath.
#BREAKING: Psaki: “Multiple outlets are reporting tonight that Donald Trump has essentially wiped out what is left of the US Election Assistance Commission that is a bipartisan commission that helps states and local officials run elections. They certify election equipment, they distribute federal election funds, they maintain the national mail voter registration form, they basically do a whole bunch of things that help elections across the country run smoothly. But as we have seen through his actions over and over and over again, Donald Trump does not want elections in this country to run smoothly, quite the opposite.”🤦♀️
BREAKING: A reporter asked Mike Johnson at a press conference today, “Should we bother asking you any questions about Trump reigniting his illegal Iran War without any Constitutionally mandatory Congressional deliberation and authorization... or have you not heard about it yet?"
BREAKING: French Senator Claude Malhuret TORCHES Trump and his alcoholic, drug-addicted administration on the floor of the Luxembourg Palace: "Every time the Epstein affair resurfaces, bombs explode somewhere in the world and cause a distraction!"
This might be the greatest MAGA takedown of all time. Nobody was spared...
"A year ago, here in France, I compared Trump's presidency to Nero's Court. I was wrong. It's the miracle court. An anti-vaxxer, former heroin addict as Minister of Health," he said, referring to RFK Jr.
Malhuret's comparison to the mad Emperor Nero is fitting. It's said that he fiddled while Rome burned. In Trump's case, he's building a ballroom while the entire world goes up in flames.
"A climate-skeptic Minister of Economy. An alcoholic TV host, Minister of the Armed Forces," Malhuret continued, referring to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
"An old Qatar agent, Minister of Justice. A groupie of Putin, Minister of National Security," Malhuret went on, referring to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Bondi previously worked for the Ballard Partners firm which raked in $115,000 a month by lobbying on behalf of Qatar.
"A Turkish proverb says 'When a clown settles in a palace, he does not become king, it is the palace that becomes a circus," said Malhuret. "His fine team has decided to create a competitor to the UN. Since the creation of the Board of Peace, Trump has triggered more military strikes than Biden during his entire term."
"Every time the Epstein affair resurfaces, bombs explode somewhere in the world and cause a distraction," he continued. "Bomb more to win more."
This is how the world now sees the American president: as a pedophile desperately exploiting his role as commander-in-chief to obscure the fact that he preyed on children with his long-time pal Jeffrey Epstein.
"There isn't a single country where Trump did not take advantage of the situation to enrich himself without ever forgetting his family. A Boeing plane offered by Qatar," he said, referring to the $400 million jet that Qatar "gifted" to Trump. "Investment in all Gulf projects or elsewhere. Stock market manipulation that only a few insiders benefit from."
"Any one of these conflicts of interest would have caused an immediate procedure of impeachment here," Malhuret. "But we are not here. We are in MAGA's America where public business is conducted in favor of private interests."
Rarely have we heard such an exhaustive yet succinct distillation of the Trump administration's rampant criminality and incompetence. By focusing on individual Cabinet members and what makes them uniquely unfit for office and then expanding the aperture to the broader patterns of corruption and malignancy, Malhuret delivered a master class in political messaging.
Every mainstream outlet in the U.S. should be running this speech to show Americans what the world thinks of our leaders.
Since they won't, please make sure to like and share to spread this far and wide!
