@uscstanley@JeremyECrawford@SageAdviceDnD In general, yes. They only have to hold a two-handed weapon in two hands while making an attack. There’s no reason they can’t switch to holding the weapon with one hand at the end of their turn (letting them cast Shield).
@HitD7@armando_doval@JeremyECrawford@roll20app@GabrielPMC2 I see how the wording can be confusing. The point of origin is a target of the spell. Thus, if it’s behind total cover, you can’t ‘target’ it. The second paragraph is there to explain what to do if a player accidentally casts a spell behind cover they can’t see.
Is it that a character can’t even attempt the short rest to end attunement to a cursed item, or that the attempt fails? (note the difference). The DMG seems to imply the former.
@JeremyECrawford With cursed items, is it possible to attempt a short rest to end attunement, consequently leaning the item is cursed when it fails? Or is it impossible to volunteer at all?
@JeremyECrawford When Call Lightning is cast in a storm, does the caster take control of 60-foot radius part of the storm above, a single cloud above (of natural size), or the entire storm?
The phrase “the cloud” earlier in the description seem to suggest no more than one cloud.
@JeremyECrawford I look through a wall that’s less than 30 feet thick, and see an item against the back wall 60 feet away.
Or, I can’t see the item because it’s not within the 30 feet described by the invocation.
Which is it?
@JeremyECrawford I think this question’s been asked before, but I don’t recall an answer. Is Otiluke’s Resilient Sphere translucent, given that it’s description suggests light can’t pass through it?
@quadhund@JeremyECrawford I guess that’s the question I’m asking. Is it an undead eyeball encased in (a gem worth 150gp), or (an undead eyeball encased in a gem) worth 150gp?
@JeremyECrawford With Shadow of Moil, can a spell casting focus replace the undead eye part of the component (since it doesn’t have a value), or since it’s encased in the gem, must it be acquired?
@JeremyECrawford Can you clarify how Delayed Blast Fireball is intended to work? RAW it seems that the caster can just end concentration (causing the bead to explode) if someone attempts to pick it up.
@JeremyECrawford In context, “When the spell ends, either because your concentration is broken or because you decide to end it,” ‘it’ could be referring to the spell or concentration. Either way, there aren’t any explicit rules limiting when this can occur. Is this RAI?
@JeremyECrawford Does this effect Delayed Blast Fireball? Or does, “either because your concentration is broken or because you decide to end it” imply that the spell can be ended at anytime (including when an enemy attempts to pick up the bead or leave)?
@JeremyECrawford When a door affected by arcane lock is picked, is it able to be opened? If so, were there a closed but unlocked door affected by the spell, would locking it make it able to be picked, and thus opened?
