Hello world! As we finally emerge out of the pandemic (well let’s hope so) we are starting to resume activities. We are so pleased to confirm we will be meeting in person on Wednesday 16th of March 6.30-7.30pm @ Levenshulme’s Arcadia Leisure Centre. All welcome. Accessible venue.

Levenshulme station is adopted by @LevyStation. This was what I knew was at the station, and wanted to see (an installation @CommunityRail was delighted to support with a small grant):

Mainly covers the subway between platforms.

He's continuing to look at funding options for disabled access.

This is really welcome news. It has taken a while but better late than never! It goes to show community groups like ours with committee volunteers, with the support of local Cluncillors and MP, do make a difference.

We really welcome this new set of improvements to our station. Fingers crossed for no more flooding in the tunnel, a safer environment for all passengers.

An update on our communication with various rail partners. @OfficialTfGM have confirmed that the defib was used at local shop recently and is in the process of being returned👍 We asked if there’s a way to alert people (a sign or other) when defib is temporarily not in its case.

We also sent urgent email to several contacts at Northern including station manager. Plus asking for sign to be put on it alerting people, until this is resolved.

A great day! Celebrating with the children of Alma Park a brilliant artwork they are the star of! Wonderful to see how excited and proud they were of seeing themselves and their name on the panels. Thanks to all who helped make this happen.
