@SahilBloom There’s research on future self-continuity that makes this even more interesting. Your present self gets the reward from planning while handing the work to a future version of you. If your actions aren’t aligned with that person now, you’re basically assigning it to a stranger.

@DoveDriveHQ Figuring things out, even when that means realizing I was wrong, and letting that give me a new perspective and a better way of thinking.

[DoveDrive @DoveDriveHQ]

I’m still figuring things out, but I’m not standing still. I’m working on my discipline, strengthening my mind, and building a better life. If you’re on that journey too, I hope you know you’re not alone.

Questions are keys and answers are doors.

Not the other way around like I once thought.

[Lex @LexHugh_]

How are you building on X while working full-time? My job is very client-facing, very “on”all day. I’m curious how you make room for posting and networking on top of that.

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@Psycho_Growth Yes keeping the peace by repeatedly overriding yourself has a cost. Cognitive dissonance isn’t only mental, chronic internal conflict can keep the body under stress and years of that can have real life/physical consequences.

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@KickWestra Do you ever wonder about the collective consciousness and maybe the draw having a deeper meaning than what we have words/understanding for?

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@KickWestra @CDHughett

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@KickWestra Okay but like, is that not fun? 😂😂

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@KickWestra @Happy_Long_Life Can’t wait to read it, Kick.

@herbarbelldiary Recipe to feeling badass

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@TreasureMusaAI You’re so right. This is such a useful post because it gives people a way to actually evaluate what they’re building.

[Lex @LexHugh_]

Criticism hurts before you even understand why. Then later, with enough distance, you realize it exposed a blind spot you couldn’t see in the moment.

And part of what stung was realizing you had more ownership in the situation than you first thought.

@midnightblog4 Nothing changes if nothing changes. I’m proud to know anyone with the courage to step outside what’s comfortable.

Finally checked the thing I’d been avoiding. It was smaller than the week I spent not looking at it.

Money in the bank:

to keep a regulated nervous system

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@IAmTonyBeing It was interesting when money became more of a tool than just currency. I started thinking less about what it could buy me and more about what it could do for me.

@SafetyPatterns The human error is the effect. The design failure is the cause. If a system lets a tiny visual difference carry that much consequence, the mistake was built in before the person ever made it.

[Lex @LexHugh_]

@AnthropicWay Well, points for initiative I guess 😂
