When a customer dropped their phone between the train and platform at St. James’s Park, two of our colleagues were quick to step in and help 📱💙
Customer Service Advisers, Tega and Emmanuel, responded immediately, safely retrieving the phone and supporting the customer, who was clearly shaken by the incident. Tega offered reassurance while helping them regain composure, ensuring they felt calm and supported.
Seven out of ten 18-34 year olds believe they could escape an oncoming train but 98% of them are unaware how long trains take to stop in an emergency.
The rail industry, including our friends at @SW_Help, is urging the public to stay safe when using level crossings by following the advice:
🛑Stop, look, and listen. Every crossing is different so always read the signs and follow the instructions.
🚨Understand warning signs (lights, barriers, alarms) and obey them fully. Always follow instructions at each level crossing completely.
👀Check both ways before crossing. If there is a train coming, wait behind the barrier or marked line until it has passed. Remember there may be more than one train, and they may be coming from different directions.
🚶Cross quickly and safely. Make sure your exit route is clear and do not stop when crossing.

We were delighted to welcome Michael Morpurgo to London Paddington today to unveil an Intercity Express Train named in his honour.
Special guest Joey from War Horse, one of Michael’s most famous creations, also joined us and was very excited to see his name on the train too!

“The glory of art is that it can not only survive change, it can lead it.”
Robert Redford reminded us of the power of cinema, of freedom, and of the artists who risk everything to tell their stories. Today, we remember his words, his life and career that forever shaped the landscape of film.
#Appeal | Can you help us find 46-year-old Gary from #Brentford who's been #missing since Tuesday, 3 June?
He was last seen on the Thames Path in Brentford. He is believed to have been wearing a dark grey work (cont) https://t.co/kqZys0KWW7
