I'm so surprised and offended to see the professor mention "Chinese students are dishonest" during one of the invited talk. This is against the code of conduct of #NeurIPS2024 . The Chair Committee should look into this and we want to make sure this won't happen again.
We are looking for a new colleague!
#Vacancy for a 4 year fully-funded PhD position in cognitive psychology. The candidate will investigate individual differences in the spotlight of visual attention.
Apply before October 6th!

New paper out in @PsychScience with @chrispaffen, @SvanderStigchel, & @SuryaGayet. We used three distinct paradigms and consistently found that statistical learning influences the prioritization of visual objects in accessing consciousness.

Our preprint work shows that slopes of numerosity monotonic responses are affected by adaptation to different numerosities in early visual cortex. I really appreciate my coauthors @benmarkharvey@SuryaGayet@serge_dumoulin @evi_hendrikx and @zzluu99. https://t.co/rSNcjq5CTd.
New preprint alert!
In the first project of my PhD, we use RIFT to show that the visual system is not passively recruiting mechanisms of external attention for prioritization in VWM, but is instead using space as an organizational principle to store and select items in VWM.

🚨 New preprint out 🚨 A massive collaborative project led by @MaorSchreiber1, @francoisstock95, @Liad_Mudrik, & @n_faivre, which set the goal to establish a consensus of best practices (and outstanding issues) for research on unconscious processing. Thankful to be a part of it!
If you’re in Seoul for #OHBM2024 and don’t want the brain mapping and neuroscience fun to end, I’m excited to be presenting in this symposium at @SeoulNatlUni tomorrow! Come check it out 🧠
We will present two posters at #OHBM2024#ohbm. First, @benmarkharvey will present one about Working Memory load (#935) today and on Tuesday, and then I will present the other about Numerosity Adaptation (#1356) on Wednesday and Thursday. You are welcome to visit our posters.

Hi all, you can read my paper at this link https://t.co/JzuKvBAZ3E. I am thrilled to have this chance to write this paper with a lot of help from @SuryaGayet. It is also great to work with @TeresaSchubert .
We will be present at #VSS2024@VSSMtg!
Talks:
Sat. 14:45 @c_strauch "Effort minimization drives saccade selection"
Sat. 15:45 @DKoevoet "Pupil size reveals presaccadic attentional shifts up and downward"
Sun. 11:15 @LUZIXU1 "Latent memory traces for prospective items in VWM"
New paper @JCgntn:
VWM offloading depends on availability of external information https://t.co/3qps8QEiZV
Any disruption to the constant availability of external info is a driver of increased VWM usage, but changes to predictability of availability have little further effect
