There is a plague of people reading theology and failing to understand it any better than an AI. My wife is beautiful and I have zero desire to lust after her, because I love her. If this is a genuine struggle, you need to start with the basics by learning what love is.
@Yotler1 Well yeah, St. Paul himself says so. My point however is that if you have a really hot wife you will seek the act out of lust which is a venial sin.
I know I harp on this, but it’s the way politicians hide their theft of your purchasing power.
When he says inflation “DROPPED -0.4%”, it might sound like prices went down.
They did not.
They still went up 3.5%, which is less than they went up the month before, but still far more than the intended target of 2% (which itself is too much).
When you go to the store and your bill is higher than last month, you’re not, unlike the out-of-touch DC pundits, going to celebrate like it’s a victory. You’re going to worry about how you can afford it all on a paycheck that doesn’t rise every month like clockwork.
The newest video from @Trent_Horn on relationships is excellent. Great practical advice for young single people, which is very much needed today.

@Catholingo Spend at least the first few years ignoring any disputes within the Church and focus on figuring out how to live the faith. Read devotional works by the great saints and learn how to sanctify your life before you venture into online theology disputes.
@IJSanders@jadler1969 I once heard someone say something along the lines of "nobody publishes as frequently as a dead Murray Rothbard" because so much of his work was published after he passed.
For years I've opposed hyperpapalism, emphasizing the need for a proper Catholic understanding of obedience as it relates to the pope.
For years I've opposed the errors coming out of the Vatican and the hierarchy.
For years I've defended the traditional understanding of the Catholic Faith.
For years I've appreciated the work of the SSPX, and how it has brought countless souls closer to Christ.
Yet when it comes down to it, I can't see how disobeying required papal approval to consecrate bishops is consistent with a proper understanding of obedience or a traditional understanding of the Catholic Faith.
Just about every defense of the consecrations seems to me to be political and prudential rather than theological: "If the SSPX doesn't consecrate new bishops then [insert awful thing here]." Even worse are defenses that any and all disobedience is justified due to the sins and errors of hierarchs. It's all either speculation or pointing the finger at how bad the other guys are.
I don't like the fact that the Vatican and many bishops are hostile to Tradition; I don't think we need to accept everything that comes from the pope's mouth; and I hope and pray that the Vatican would come to its senses and simply approve the consecrations.
But none of this justifies, in my mind, disobeying a reasonable and clear requirement in canon law in this specific situation.
@catholicpat I met my wife at 23, didn't marry her until 29. I think a lot of it is less going on dates and actively looking, and more being a saint within communities.

This is my first exposure to CommandMedia, and this advertising strategy is so strange. Why alienate all the young people who are thankful to Catholic Answers for helping bring them into the Church?
Catholic Answers and Daily Wire need to be destroyed. They've run their course in the culture war, and exhausted their usefulness to young men.
@CommandMediaTV is the future. It's time to stop the games with these dorky freaks and frauds.
@FaithWithMase Each time I read the Bible I became more Catholic (I am a convert from Protestantism). I started learning Hebrew last year, still Catholic.
