One dose of the human papillomavirus (HPV) #vaccine is just as effective in providing long-term immune protection against #cervicalcancer as a two or three dose schedule, a new #MCRI-led study finds. 👉 https://t.co/0M6RbxUEx7

MCRI's Dr Nadia Mazarakis said both vaccines produced similar T-cell responses (a key part of your immune system that protects you from harmful viruses). The findings could help inform ongoing #booster strategies.
A new MCRI study found that as a 4th dose, Moderna boosted more #antibodies than Novavax but also caused more side effects. However, both #vaccines activated the immune system in a similar way.
