@TPostMillennial I cannot adequately describe the deep unease I’m feeling at the moment with regards to the downfall of ‘normality’. This is not ok. This is not right. This is deeply unsettling, this postmodernist distortion of reality is surely a sign of a civilisation with severe mental illness
@ayemojubar I get the serious message and agree. Stay inside. But we don’t know if this man has mental health issues or has dementia. Let’s keep our humanity people.
@Plume_Principal Plume represented 30% of the finalists: impressive. Well done Amber for opening the competition so maturely, always great to see Cameron play & thank you Mrs Adams & Mr Wakefield for supporting. It goes a long way knowing your teachers/mentors are fully invested in their students
@ericweinstein is one of the few intellectuals driven towards mending the political and social divides within society. I respect that he is willing to engage those he disagrees with while maintaining civility in times of conflict. https://t.co/lbzGLwxrM2
@JohnStossel@sentientist Absolutely. Differences between men & women are exhibited in choice of career, choice of education, choice of hobby etc, etc. Of course it only seems to be problematic in an area where men are in the majority!
Those who say men and women's brains are different are often accused of sexism.
But @sentientist says: "saying that men and women have different aptitudes isn't sexism. It's actually a statement about the true nature of the world."
The most important task for us in 2020, whichever part of the political spectrum we come from, is to defeat the woke liberals and group-thinkers who would control our every thought and utterance. No quarter must be given to these zealots. They must be faced down remorselessly.
@mark_my_words@DrDebraSoh That's correct, around 80-95% desist before puberty. @JamesCantorPhD has an overview of the studies on his blog. But newer studies show that with blockers, the desistance rate drops to almost zero. (Screenshot from WPATH).
The Portal Podcast now begins its gentle swerve towards its true purpose w/ our new episode. Having built a following, we now begin introducing you to concepts, artists, scientists & issues that we hope will change your world. A few of you are now about to complain about clarity.
To all the little brown girls looking for a #rolemodel that looks like them on the TV or in politics or in books like I used to, let me assure you that THIS IS NOT IT. This is a scary smirking monster #PritiPatel.
Be your own role model instead.
@Plume_Principal Not only was Ollie’s talk informative & inspiring, it was also entertaining. An essential ingredient in effective public speaking, he should be super proud, and include that in his key skills on his CV.
