So... @pcgamer named #KCD2 their Game of the Year!
Massive thanks to PC Gamer - and to all of you - for making our return to Bohemia one to remember.
We're honoured, we're blushing, and we might celebrate with a pint or three 🍻
HAHAHA Silksong’s first free expansion announcement, days after the game awards in a YouTube video with no buildup
You will never convince me that Team Cherry and Geoff don’t have beef lol
I believe Geoff was controlling the decisions this year to create the image that E33 is an other-worldly game, because some of the awards given to it were eyebrow-raising and didn’t feel like they went through any real voting process & this backfired cause the game ain’t that at all
Yes, "indie game" originally pretty much meant "made by a couple of people in their bedrooms."
As indie teams found global success and the industry adapted to capitalize on them, the term became a commercial label implying originality and limited resources.
Every time someone accuses us of ripping off Expedition 33, we die a little bit inside.
Yes, it's a turn-based RPG.
Yes, it has dodges and parries.
Our game already had all that in the public demos we released in 2022 and 2024.
No need to call us names🫠
Yeah man… this really solidifies that dreaming nowadays is a privilege for people with rich buddies who can hand them millions on a whim no questions asked.
okay but seriously
- 8 digit budget
- has a prolific publisher backing it
- led by a rich guy with industry connections
- literal hollywood actors in the cast
what about this is indie? is it just because the budget wasnt 9 digits?
