If you don’t equate protein on any given diet, metabolic rate and absorption of nutrients is so inconsistent that you can get fat eating one meal a day. An obese person can drop weight consistently while eating the same amount of calories they usually do if protein is kept high.
You can be in favour of something, but opposed to it being mandatory.
You can be against something, but not in favour of it being banned.
