@JordyIWNL Yeah I had no idea about that! I had always known that colleges like those want minorities so they can call their schls a "diverse" place but I feel uncomfortable with the idea that my race is what got me accepted into schl because it downgrades my work as an individual#SOCL214

@avasoc214 Agree! The main thing that is frustrating as an Asian about the Model Minority Myth is it generalizes all of us, failing to see how we are not all the same, we have different heritages and are our own persons, and my hard work isn't due to my race#SOCL214

@mmcknightt31 You're so right! The video addressed how straight people have privileges or how having all five senses and working legs can be a privilege. I think privilege is so often associated with race that we forget about another term: intersectionality #SOCL214
