Here's why we need #systemsthinking. Too much analytical thinking and not enough holistic thinking will create all sort of problems for ourselves as individuals, as organizations, as societies and even as a civilization.
As a white American, it is important not to let celebrations like #juneteenth2022 obscure continuing racist structures "by rendering whites, white privilege, and racist institutions invisible." For us, it's a reminder to continue to work towards a more just society.
On this day in 1865, slaves in Texas were notified by Union Civil War soldiers about the abolition of slavery. This was 2.5 years after the final Emancipation Proclamation which freed all enslaved Black Americans. #Juneteenth
