#DCIM353McCormick This course has taught me very well about the capabilities humans hold among technology and its advancements. And although it seems we are at the peak of innovation, new inventions will come out in the very near future. Best of luck to everyone in the future!
@JingmiaoZ AI is a very scary topic as many people discuss it possibly taking over, however I agree that it really depends the way humans use them and live with AI and not abuse it, it could influence our society at unprecedented ways.
@nataliefataru It is truly crazy to think about smartwatches in general and how much they have changed lives already, they can already track things like sleep, heart rate, and so much more it is only imaginable what else they will be able to do in the future!
@jessicalee_dcim I agree with this and believe that because of Covid, plenty jobs like this will be completely changed forever and the online world will change drastically.
I believe and have seen plenty of evidence that robotics will begin taking over daily jobs such as cashiers, delivery, etc. Especially after Covid people will continue to explore these inventions to diminish the possibility of disease. #DCIM353McCormick
A big takeaway to this course is that, as time continues to move, more and more inventions will come out and disrupt the current inventions we are used to using, no matter how disruptive and new something may be it will likely be disrupted by something new. #DCIM353McCormick
@JessicaLKehoe Disruptive innovations are definitely important to focus on for the upcoming test, it seems like we have completely shifted our focus to disruptiveness, but we can't forget those companies who are sustaining their innovations.
@Skim2021 This concept is becoming the basis of many of our lives. It is definitely important for all of us to realize the changes we are going through and understand why it can help us.
@gentblaku This is definitely an important topic, professor always seems to emphasize these points in every assignment we have. Each one holds importance to a disruptive technology.
#DCIM353McCormick From Week 4 I believe that Techno-Social Life will be an important topic, and its connections and debate on how Technologies have prompted face to face interaction instead of discourage it.
@JasmineWelcome5 Yes this 100% would be, context-aware computing is partly defined as situation and environmental information being used to anticipate immediate needs and proactively offer situation aware and usable content. So the cell phone uses this information to be saved for future use.

For my EDTP project I will be further researching on Context-Aware Computing. An example of this for those unaware would be when your phone automatically senses you turning your phone, and it switches from portrait to landscape mode.
@shauryarutgers Instagram has become part of our generation and become a part of all of our lives so casually and we don't even realize the things that come with it. I'm excited to see how you analyze all the pros and cons of Instagram.
@jessicalee_dcim I love this topic for your project a lot! Our generation so casually listens to music everyday on their phones or laptops without realizing how easy it is. Especially compared to when people would only be able to have a radio in their home and that was a blessing.
@CatSalladin This is a very interesting and important topic, and I really enjoy that you're focusing on the mental health aspect, because whether for better or worse social media has impacted everybody in our generation.

If 40% of people in a couple express that they are bothered with the amount of time their partner spends on their phone, why don't they say something? I feel the most important part of a healthy relationship ought to be communication, this is one easy step
