Ubuntu MATE creator Martin Wimpress quit the project citing lack of time and passion.

There was no Ubuntu MATE 26.04 LTS release.

It seemed like beginning of the end.

But nothing really ends in open source world.

A team of volunteers pitched in. Took care of project.

And now we will have Ubuntu MATE 26.10 in October.

This is the true spirit of open source.
