Been trying to give some interesting backgrounds to today's online meetings courtesy of Bing's image creator. Apparently I can easily create an image of a warrior priestess teaching cyber security at University, but requests for a picture of an LGBT church service are blocked!
Finally, I have to make some tweaks to the Python code & Jinja template on the website (which thankfully is easy as it's well written), & a bit of Perl for some back end permissions.
And that children, is why we first & foremost teach programming and not a particular language.
In today's fun, I had to get some information for a timetable and put it on the webserver which expected an Excel spreadsheet as input. Simple I thought, MS Forms outputs to a spreadsheet, so just some simple power automate should do it. Except that 1) Form wasn't in the right
edit the document and not the document itself. So now I had to write a powershell script on my local machine which reads the file from the file system and SFTP it to the server. That should be running every 10 mins via the Windows scheduler, but doesn't seem to be.
Pleased to announce the second in my series of blogs entitled ‘Chaos in the Brain”. Hope it stimulates some chaotic thoughts in you! #AI#Chaos#MachineLearning#neuroscience https://t.co/cQxo1JeiFa
One of the most sensible takes on ‘cancel culture’ I’ve seen. Sensible, honest, smart. I’m posting the video directly as Times Radio tweeted it with a clickbait and somewhat misleading headline that unintentionally confirmed his point. More of this please.
@AmazonHelp - trying to use amazon subscribe and save, but it's not going through the normal MFA process and my bank is rejecting it. Ordinary transactions work fine though... Hope you can advise
@AmazonHelp Tried that already - your colleagues response was a) to remove SCA from all purchases I made with you (not really an option for somebody in the UK even if I wanted to) or b) use a gift card (kind of defeats the point of S&S). Happy to try again if I'll get a different result.
@AmazonHelp It seems to be only an issue for subscribe and save - for normal transactions your system asks for the MFA and I have to enter an OTP if it's a new location. Just not for S&S
@AmazonHelp It's saying that there is a problem with the payment method. I contacted my bank and they said you weren't asking for MFA (as required now in the UK for this type of payment) so they had to cancel it
