A mother and her three young children were trapped inside an upside-down SUV that was filling with water in a Florida canal.

One of the little boys was banging on the door, screaming that his mom’s head was underwater.

That’s when Casey Curtis heard the cries and ran toward the canal. He reached the submerged SUV and started pulling the children out one by one, getting all three to safety.

But their mother was still inside.

Casey went back to the vehicle and found her unconscious, still buckled into her seat with her head underwater. He lifted her face above the water, realized she wasn’t breathing and gave her a breath right there in the canal.

She started breathing again.

The mother spent several days in intensive care, but she survived. All three of her children survived too.

Those kids watched a stranger pull them from a sinking SUV, then turn around and go back into the water for their mom when she couldn’t save herself. Casey Curtis is the kind of person people should know about.

INCREDIBLE: A police officer pulled over a young Black man near the university. His license had expired.

"Why are you driving on an expired license?" the officer asked.

The young man said softly, "I just lost my night job. What I have left is just enough for food, rent, and bills. I'm from out of state. I'm here alone for university. And I have a job interview this morning."

The officer could have followed the book and impounded the car. He didn't.

He parked his cruiser, helped the young man straighten his tie, got in the passenger seat, and drove him to the interview himself.

They walked in together. The officer apologized for them being late and explained why. They took a selfie. Wished him luck.

He got the job. And later, he got a temporary permit to drive until he could afford to renew his license.

That's what humanity looks like.
