@LauraLoomer I live in Milton FL, one of the hardest hit areas. No looting, lots of volunteers helping, free food is plentiful. Most have power now.mine came on last night which is amazing considering the damage.

@itsrosesm The bigger question is why do I vote? It seems it doesn't matter who I vote for any more. They don't work for me, they work for themselves. I do vote but I am always disappointed in what happens after they get elected.

@sutherncaro @ThrillaRilla369 Not good there now.Officers are mad about the pay raise that they were promised that didn't happen.Lots walking away. $22 an hour isn't great pay for that job and they get nothing extra in pay for years worked there. I was offered RN job when the state was the employer, declined

@__0HOUR1_ Look into the new law that goes into effect on 10/22/26 regarding the destruction of any flea/pet meds bought from foreign countries that are available to purchase in the US. This will hurt lots of rescues and families who buy foreign due to the prices in the US.

@JimReyn59194942 I think that they are banning anyone not paying and anyone who is asking questions. I was also banned for asking about the upcoming ban on flea meds from other countries. Nothing threatening or abusive. I find it amusing as I have been on there since the beginning.

@stevenpi69 @realDonaldTrump I am beginning to think that they only want paying accounts. I was banned for bringing up the ban that starts on 10/22/26 on flea meds from other countries. I really don't care and don't want to be a part of a social site that bans over nothing.

@TrumpTruthOnX I was banned today from truth social. I spoke out against the upcoming ban on flea/rick meds from Australia which I think is wrong and asked that Trump intervene. I guess they did not like that.

I am so angry. Why are they banning veterinary products from other countries? I and many others cannot afford to buy the products in the USA. I have eight rescue cats and two rescue dogs. This is unacceptable.

@JefferyCMay @kostadinof @RJP_NOW yep. and we will still pay those. My tax break will be about $4-500 dollars. I will still pay the non-ad valorem assessments plus the school taxes and a storm water. May be more of them. My home is assessed at around 200,000 so I will still be paying taxes.

@kostadinof @RJP_NOW I pay for garbage pickup, my county doesn't. I seldom use a park, can't remember the last time. Most roads in my area are state roads, my own road is private, the county doesn't touch it. I have a well and septic, others pay for sewer and water themselves, county or city doesn't.

@Kimberly2024USA @RJP_NOW Agree. And when you sell don't you have to claim any amount made on your taxes? I've never sold a home so I don't know. But that would be taxing you again on something you have been taxed on for possibly years.

@Adamsmash83 @Omamba256 @RJP_NOW But even if you have an escrow account don't you realize that you are still paying the tax? and the insurance? I pay my own tax and insurance even though I have a mortgage, I don't use an escrow. I just don't get your way of thinking. They still pay the taxes, the bank doesn't.

@SportsOnly62 @EvanPower We already have that, I pay a fire assessment already which is based on the amount of roof that is on my land. My porches and carport are included, home is 1800sq ft but I have two large porches and a double carport...paid almost $400 last year.
