He expected a public humiliation, but what he got was a lesson in composure. This headteacher refused to be intimidated, met every single interrogation point with cold facts, and answered so satisfactorily that the entire trap collapsed on the spot.

What was staged as a high-profile corruption exposure turned into a total embarrassment for the Minister, forcing him to backpedal and scramble for a different topic entirely.

At this rate, @BalaamBarugahar will continue until he reaches the gates of Plot 1. What he is doing in broad daylight is not governance. It is mob justice dressed up as enforcement and, whether he realises it or not, it is mobilising civil resistance.

Such things often begin by looking simple, isolated and unserious. But that is precisely how mass movements begin. They start with small actions that appear easy to dismiss.

Societies are complex systems, and complex systems do not always change gradually. They can appear stable for a long time, cross an invisible threshold and then transform rapidly. What looks harmless today may soon become something the state can neither control nor contain.

Competent ministers build institutions and make them work. They ensure that health inspectors inspect health facilities, school inspectors inspect schools, engineers assess infrastructure, and investigators investigate wrongdoing. A minister who appoints himself the inspector of everything is not strengthening government. He is advertising its institutional collapse.

Uganda cannot be governed by one man crisscrossing the country in permanent raid mode. When does he sit down to perform the actual duties of a minister? No minister can ambush an entire country into competence.

Every spectacle may attract applause, but it is also a public confession of failure. Balaam is not merely exposing the incompetence of the officials he confronts. He is exposing the incompetence of the very government he represents.

With my second pay check, then living in Bbuto Bweyogere, I bought a while basin of mandazi.
I'd always never understood why adults said they had no money when as a child I asked for mandazi which was ugx50.
Anyway,I ate 6 &realized I'd made a mistake, gave all neighbourhood kids, it was still too much, poured the rest, but my inner child was happy AF!
