@rbnpepper Bluesky is pretty good. I use it with TeachFirst mentees but it has wider functions for whole staff development records, learning walks and generating the illustrative data that can accompany them.

@DParkerEnglish1 @Team_English1 @FunkyPedagogy @HoDandHeart Explaining their point. Once they begin to add a reason or answer the 'why' there's a very obvious change. It's surprising how often you need to prompt pupils to do this. Building it in to verbal questioning as an expectation helps though.

@SLTchat A2: it can also be as valuable to be a mentor as to receive mentoring. You're forced to constantly evaluate what best practice means and how to achieve it in different contexts. Helping another find their path makes you realise how many different ways there actually are #SLTchat

@SLTchat A1: I think the absence of specific mentoring towards leadership aspirations has made me personally fight harder to make it on my own. So now I certainly would not wish to deprive any of my staff of the opportunities for development that I was. #SLTchat

The closing of gaps requires a clear identification of them first. Diagnose the missing knowledge, the insecurities, the misconceptions so we can adapt accordingly.
