Just to be crystal clear.
Keir Starmer was briefed against constantly. The public told he was terrible. The media and MPs manufactured this. Labour voters and others believed them. They were conned. It was not true. If you fell for it that’s down to you.
That is not me.
@SamJRushworth I've had hope for two years. Now Burham intends to ignore anything not in Manchester, get rid of anyone who doesn't kiss up, appoints on favourtism not competance, claim Starmer's successes as his own and waste money on vanity projects to boost his own ego I've lost it.
@RichardHor54460@speakoutsister The case is *still* being reviewed by the courts, the process by which the miscarriage, if it is one, would be addressed is still ongoing, they are not ignoring it.
@speakoutsister He's vile and should not be Health Secretary. But Lucy Letby has a legal team working to change her conviction, and it's reasonable to say that following the legal appeal process is the process to follow. Judges should make judgements based on evidence before them, not the news.
@speakoutsister The headline is not particularly reflective of what he said. The article, and another report of what he said that I've seen both quote him as saying that there is a judicial process to be followed - that's the course of action. Press conferences shouldn't change judgements.
The Tories achieved one unbelievable thing during their 14 year reign of horror and I’m not even sure if it was by skill or chance (or the extremely rich and powerful people playing them like marionettes) but…
They managed to flood the zone to the extent that millions of people, despite knowing and remembering their crimes and scandals, simply don’t care.
People don’t. You mention it and they shrug. You point out the facts and they recall but it just doesn’t register. They will just bark that Labour is exactly the same.
It’s like nobody gives a fuck about reality anymore.
They managed to debase politics to such an extent that it all became normal. Virtually every method of communication we have in this country is riddled with Tories, bias and corruption. Thats not an understatement. They leave office and become editors at papers, for fucks sake.
They know people will uncritically parrot what they hear on the radio, or read as a headline, despite it being bias heavy and opinion based, not factual. They can make millions of people believe utter bullshit to the point that they will go out and vote against their best interests.
Despite being elected to represent all people without prejudice, they fanned the flames of racism and xenophobia to the extent that everyone is more focused on hating the minority group they scapegoated.
Meanwhile, they casually walk away from the remains of the country that they have broken and robbed. To add insult to significant injury, some of them have the fucking gall to critically point the finger at a significant clean up operation (which is only underway because of them shitting over everything) on their way out.
It’s like the last 14 years didn’t happen and it’s fucking enraging to watch.
The full Grenfell report has just been published. It’s huge, but @BBCRadio 4 has just updated a series of 15 minute explainers of what happened. It’s reported by @katelamble and it is exemplary journalism. https://t.co/8l0sT7YIWj
Anyway here’s the Tories slaving away 24/7 during Covid whilst we were all banned from sitting on park benches or chatting with mates with a take out coffee whilst going for a walk.
Tory attacks on Keir Starmer's working hours cutting through - which is why they'll keep going with it. But worth noting *full* quote in which he makes clear that, even before he reaches No 10, there are exceptions.
“We’ve had a strategy in place and we’ll try to keep to it, which is to carve out really protected time for the kids, so on a Friday - I’ve been doing this for years - I will not do a work-related thing after six o’clock, pretty well come what may. There are a few exceptions, but that’s what we do.”

Collectively we can relegate those Tory bastards into third place.
Rishi Sunak has claimed that voters are fine with him spending £50,000 a day on this ridiculously large private jet.
If you aren’t fine, RT and tell him to spend his own £720,000,000.
Where is his pay restraint?
Also like if you want him to f** off.
