EXTREME MEASURES: Ross Dress For Less is adding fencing around it's downtown Seattle store at the corner of 3rd Ave & Pike St. Workers say they're trying to keep out the drug addicts from congregating in the vestibules. At this point the fence is not closed off so we will have to wait and see how it ultimately functions. But hey, it's a new idea that could work. #Seattle

HAPPENING NOW: This is one of those "Only in Seattle" stories. Saturday night, volunteers with homeless outreach group We Heart Seattle(@weheartseattle) called 911 after spotting a guy driving a stolen excavator down a hill in Jose Rizal Park. Cops showed up and arrested the guy. He was building a massive structure in the deep woods.
More insanity in Councilmember Tammy Morales'(@CMTammyMorales,@TammyMoralesSEA) District 2. Neighbors say she remains MIA and is not returning constituent calls for these types of complaints.
I found dozens of other encampments hidden in this wooded area. Neighbors are concerned more homeless people are feeling emboldened to set up nearby. I'm working on a FULL RECAP coming up.

My first week as a police officer we got a call of vehicle vs. pedestrian. Usually that’s a homeless guy walking out in front of a sedan. We pull up, there’s a woman, who I didn’t know was mom at the time, crying hysterically.

There’s a truck with a big red streak behind it and a stroller in front of it. A baby got meat crayoned down the road out of its mothers arms.

My next call was a disturbance. An old rich white lady yelling in my face about a trashcan being left in front of her driveway and she couldn’t get her Mercedes out.

That’s policing. Every day. I only did it for 3 years in a small city.

Is policing and the justice system extremely flawed? 100%

Should we shit on them for their profession?

I don’t think so.

The “thin blue line” sounds lame as shit but I’d love to see how any of the people in this picture would handle a DUI wreck involving a family of 5.

#BREAKING: Thursday morning, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell(@MayorofSeattle) finally ordered crews to clear the notorious I-5 homeless encampment in downtown #Seattle. Even though it's on Washington State Dept. of Transportation(@wsdot) property, the Mayor "deemed it an emergency," so he was able to take control of this situation. I have been reporting for months now that the Mayor has always had this option. WSDOT's problems have just become too much of a burden. The Mayor is clearly taking matters into his own hands.

Otherwise, the investigation continues into this inferno, fueled by a DRUG TURF WAR involving homemade BOMBS. Witnesses say it was a REVENGE HIT JOB. Once again, this is not a housing crisis. A criminal enterprise was being allowed to flourish. Some of these encampments are being used as drug dens in Seattle's FENTANYL trade. Still no arrests related to this case. I'm working on another update launching later today.

BTW, no sign of FAR-LEFT activist groups like Stop The Sweeps Seattle. Even these folks couldn't justify all the illicit activity being blamed on this insane encampment.
