π΅ Chester FC can confirm that Iwan Murray has departed the club to pursue an opportunity in the Cymru Premier.
An Academy Graduate, Iwan sits fourth in our all-time appearances list since reformation with 173.
Thank you for everything and best of luck for the future, Iwan. π
@JSWC1995@CalTalksNL@ChesterFC Steadying a football club in his second job in management whilst getting in the play offs isnt a failure to me ha. We all remember 2022 Football league objective went well.....
@JSWC1995@CalTalksNL@ChesterFC Haha.
Aim is play offs with our budget 2 out of 4.
Brought the fans back to over 2k consistently
Made sales on youth players.
You say wouldnt of this season, you do know the run of form started under cal HA.
Understand the football club and not the club's who can just spend.
@wildlifejules One of the best Barrie! Miss our Tuesday night games sharing Pams Egg butties haha.. guessing the crowd and then going through our bets haha. Legend he is! π
@TheSealCFC Cant believe there was ever a doubt. We've seen it before the turn of the year cals teams kicks on well. The run since 7th feb has been decent and a good sign of the team what was being built to push for the play offs.

@blacon_blue@albertdavies16 Its what the so called 'fans' wanted mate, I just feel who ever comes in will have to do a complete re build and were technically back where we started before cal took over.
To be apart of those 14 years I would like to say thank you cal! From travelling the country to sorting kit out at 12am we've done some crazy memories there! As one man said enjoy the good times as much as you can because the bad times are horrible.
All the best big man! π
Chester Football Club can confirm that First Team Manager Calum McIntyre has left his position.
It was previously announced that Calum would depart at the end of the season. However, all parties believe it is now in the best interests of the football club to part company with immediate effect.
Appointed in May 2022, Calum took permanent charge of the Blues on more than 200 occasions, guiding the club to two play-off campaigns, including the National League North Promotion Final last year.
McIntyre, who was named Manager of the Season in 2022/23, also twice led the Blues to the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper in his time in charge.
Tonightβs news brings an end to Calumβs 14-year association with the Club, having first joined as an Academy coach in 2012.
Everyone at Chester Football Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Calum for his exceptional contribution, and we wish him all the very best for the future.
The process of appointing a new First Team Manager is underway, and an update regarding interim arrangements will be provided in due course.
