@calonddu @Larchwood20 Wow. As a JW, we are captive of a concept created by the Governing Body. It's a paralysing fear, and you become incapable of agreeing to a transfusion. But you regurgitate what the Org tells you, so for onlookers, it seems like a deliberate choice to refuse the transfusion.

@Larchwood20 No one told me it's not a disfellowshipping offence. It's coercive and evil. The elders+HLC never mentioned that I could opt out. They tell the media that it's a personal choice implying no punitive consequences, but they don't tell the rank and file. I wish for more awareness.

@Larchwood20 I was very angry at first but then after researching, found out it was all a false and I would have died for nothing. I am so grateful for all staff involved for realising that I was heavily indoctrinated. The jw org makes people feel like they don't have a choice.

@Larchwood20 @BeccaBooty98 I don't think it was sexist at all. Women normally decide for themselves whether to wear makeup or not. It would be obviously manipulative if the GB used god/bible to force women to opt out. I also think they would be met with opposition.

@jfnilsen @slitsommesaker @Ron_POMO Is Ryssdal a JW himself? Shunning those who leave is not left up to the conscious of a JW members. It is expected, and you risk being shunned yourself if you do not adhere. This is how we keep the congregation clean. I expected JW to defend this proudly.

I am a JW. I can't thank the ex-JW community enough for sticking up for those of us who are under the yoke of the Governing Body/Watchtower. The JW lawyer is LYING. The Norwegian govt is saying "Let my people go" to the Pharoa-like Watchtower org.

@Ron_POMO No one will ask who takes the lead in your church or who gives you orders? The police can just go on the website and watch the broadcast and find that the answer is: the governing body and the helpers. All names are listed on the website. Voila.

@Ron_POMO I hate how they say JWs instead of the WT organisation because the rank and file members have no idea about this. I wish governments could recognise that the average JW is manipulated into keeping themselves ignorant of legal and organisational matters.
