@itsmeivoo 2 B, will invest in something to have income
2 B, invest in promising research on hard to cure diseases, like cancer. (lost lots of friends and relatives to cancer)
2 B, travel
4 B, fight with dictatorship, war, discrimination (large because I first need resources to learn how)

PhD wasn't cheap so far
Lost my parents while I was in a far far away country without the opportunity of going back home. Never will see them again.
Had a miscarriage with unknown reason, possibly too much stress.
been tortured mentally by my PhD program and attempted suicide.

In this PhD program, I saw toxicity but I learned not to be toxic. I'm not perfect but I'm working on myself.
I saw how someone is dearest in the program and learned all my students are going to be the same for me.
And asking God to help me

@ThePhDPlace What success?! I haven't had that feeling of success for a long time since I heard that we are there to be tortured, broken, and rebuilt as they want us to be directly from program director. I'm almost forgetting how to smile. What's the difference with dictatorship?

@MikaelaSkyeSays @ThePhDPlace Sad but true. My spouse is one of those excluded students. That has ruined my spouse's strong character, personality and mental health and now affecting me and our married life! What they do in academia is not limited to work space bc we work 24/7 as PhDs and in academia

@danielleboccell @ThePhDPlace People focus on showing off and being shallow because that is easier and less time consuming towards promotion. Why should they spend time on real research when a simple idea is what is wanted by the academic society.

@PhDVoice I didn't quit my PhD in the same environment and have the same questions. I developed depression in this place. Going to a therapist and talking about it, changed my thoughts a bit when I realized it's not me struggling in my communications.
