Actually, Nintendo has a MASSIVE upper hand now. Sony's not only Nintendo-level greedy, they're worse in general because the Switch 2 is more versatile, Sony boxed in their users with how they gotta manage their bought game liscences AND Nintendo wins in the exclusive department.
@techdroider The funniest thing is that this emulator probably wouldn't have gotten so popular and have gotten the recent support it did if Sony hadn't made the recent decision to become supervillains. They've turned into Nintendo and now they're being treated like Nintendo.
Wow! In all honesty you'd need a REALLY beefy PC to run this. Unless they devs managed to cut down on a lot spaghetti code or something. Still though, Sony is NOT enjoying this right now lol
Sony is in FULL PANIC MODE right now
A Discord user named RSantila has reportedly managed to boot Astro Bot on PC using SharpEmu, a PS5 emulator for Windows PC.
Astro Bot is a 2024 PS5 exclusive, so seeing it even boot on a PC is a HUGE!!! PS5 emulation development is moving CRAZY fast.
It's so weird how the Rizzler is just like an "& Knuckles" character that companies toss around to each other to exploit. I genuinely feel so bad for the kid, he started trending at 7 years old! He needs friends and a genuine childhood, not this

No refunds or partial refunds to people who spent money on it over the years.
No offline version, unlike Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.
Classic mobile game rug-pull, especially in the wake of PlayStation’s drama.
Yiiiiiiikes. 😬
Nintendo announced that in mid-February 2027, they will no longer sell Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED in Europe.
It probably doesn't make sense for Nintendo to make revisions with removable batteries, so they are just discontinuing the entire hardware line.
Nintendo Europe: "Starting summer 2026, in preparation for upcoming changes in European battery regulations coming into effect in mid-February 2027, selected Nintendo products in Europe will begin to be replaced on a rolling basis by revisions that contain a user-replaceable battery. There is no difference in functionality between current products and revised products containing user-replaceable batteries."

This guy bought Samsung’s 990 Pro 4 TB SSD when it was ~$330 and now Samsung REFUSES to replace it as the SSD now costs ~$950 due to the AI boom.
The SSD came with a 5-year warranty but started malfunctioning after just one year.
He sent Samsung evidence showing the drive was malfunctioning. Samsung rejected his claim, said it was working fine, and mailed it back to him.
When asked for a replacement, Samsung said the SSD was “out of stock” and couldn’t be replaced, offering only a refund of the original ~$330 purchase price.
The problem? The same SSD is currently IN STOCK and selling for around $950, so the refund wouldn’t even buy a replacement.
He’s now taking legal action against Samsung.
At this point, replacing the SSD would’ve probably been cheaper for Samsung than fighting the lawsuit. 😭

PS actually did good before this. Sure they slipped up here and there, but the features that PS5 offers and the nice blockbuster gaming selection is good. It'd be great if PS could just go back to making fully physical games for their less-demanding stuff. Hoping that PS wakes up
"80% of PlayStation games sold are digital, nobody cares about physical"
Oh really?
Ghost of Tsushima, 40% physical
The Last of Us Part 2, 40% physical
Uncharted 4, 80% physical
Death Stranding, 60% physical
Anyone saying 80% is lying. That figure includes DLC to inflate figures.
What's really interesting is only 36% of a unit sales is digital, but 59% of the net sales in dollars is digital. That means each digital copy brings in 2.6 times the revenue of a physical copy. In other words, if Sony decides to make their next game digital only and ends up selling half as many copies, they'd still make more money. They have fiddled the numbers because overall, when we factor in downloads, microtransactions, DLC, subscription, PC, mobile, yes digital is king but if you look at "bigger" game titles it's just a lie.
You're welcome!
