@MBDscience Oh I went to the GP about every six months. I got a diagnosis and operation after my grandparents paid for it. I’m still suffering from endometriosis thirty years later and I expect to be in pain from it all my life. My point is going to the GP doesn’t help.
@wylfcen More generally, Anglo Saxons are around in popular culture. There’s a number of living history places that you can visit and that are popular like west Stow https://t.co/bd51le6TSE. Beowulf is a popular book and reasonably well known. Kennings and riddles are standard topic.
@wylfcen 42% of primaries are academies so don’t have to follow the national curriculum
And 81% of secondaries (us: junior and senior high) https://t.co/qiQeIhqmA7
@bennewmark What puts me off is the short notice dumping of so much work. I was involved in a project and at one point I got an email saying massive amt of paperwork due in on Monday. I hadn’t been previously informed (my Hod was supposed to..) and I worked the whole weekend to do it.
Now, 7 years later, my collaborator Kai Willführ and Sebastian Klüsener have followed up on this with a large scale international comparison of paternal ages at birth.
They find the U shape pattern with a dip in the 60s-70s wherever they look.
