I’m speaking out because cutting PIP would be devastating. It’s been my lifeline — helping me live independently and build a comedy career. Without it, I wouldn’t have managed. This is about dignity, not just money.
These cuts are dangerous. Stop #TakingThePIP.

@BritishGas@BritishGasHelp please can you take the time to explain to my friend (who isn’t on X) why you have altered their final meter readings? He has contacted you many times in the last 6 months & spoken to various call handlers about this. You owe him over £950!!! 🧵1/2
can't believe I'm actually having to do this but @BritishGas has owed me over £130 since last August and repeatedly fails to send me a cheque despite continuously saying that they have dealt with it - appalling customer service, especially in a cost of living crisis!
@jasminellparker@BritishGas I’m sorry to read this. Unfortunately I don’t have any advice as this was going to be next step to consider. Have Citizens Advice been able to help at all?
Here's an update below from when I was on @GMB this morning.
Thanks so much to everyone who has supported and reached out, as well as the well wishes towards Jane. She wouldn't believe it.
I am so grateful to everyone who has shared. ❤️
1. I don’t often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital.
Here's Jane & me in happier times.
@Baddiel I have recently finished listening to the audiobook version of My Family. It was more humorous and insightful listening to you read it. I laughed and I gasped out loud at so many parts! I will still buy your book as I want to see the photos. Thank you.
Sharon Stone started painting after her life-threatening stroke and brain haemorrhage. “When I get to be creative, whether it’s on film or on the canvas, I feel very much in my element and that all is right with the world,” she said.

Sharon Stone talks about living with an “invisible disability” from her brain injury: “People can help you when they see you are walking with crutches but when you are having a bit of a problem with brain function, people don’t see that.”
