There are very few games that I have wanted to buy over the past 10 years.

Back in the PS1 and PS2 era there was top games being released almost every month.

But Sony is one of the patent holders for the Blu-ray Disc technology.

So, it would be a public "Fuck You" to Sony, while behind the scenes Sony would benefit financially 🙂

It costs more to produce a console with a disc drive, hence the higher price.

People had the option to buy the console with a disc drive and to buy physical games (that's what I did).

But unfortunately it looks like most other people chose the digital option.

Was made redundant.

Only entitled to £90 a week.

They tried to force me into a minimum wage part-time role.

I would have had to claim working tax credits.

I found my own job, now back to being taxed over 1k per month.

A physical game should be fully playable offline without any download/update, unless that is made very clear on the box before purchase.

If people didn't buy them, companies would have no choice but to sell physical copies.
