For those who would say that X has been losing steam or that now it’s only a platform for right wingers, I’d note this whole story pretty much happened on X. Just a dude posting an amazing road trip through America. Look at the amount of traction it gained outside of X.
On the B52 incident, it’s been particularly interesting because Juan Browne flat out said I’m not doing a video there’s practically no data and not much to go on so it would all be conjecture. Steeeve has already released a video on it. I haven’t watched it because I don’t have that much interest on that particular incident. You’ll also remember that Steeeve musing on a talk program that the Jazz pilots could’ve swerved to save their lives but didn’t to save their passengers.
@AddledPleb@GlobalDiss That second provision is what makes most bills of rights lip service. It essentially says if it’s for the public good, then your rights are null and void.
We have a boy in the middle and he was relatively trouble free. His younger sister had an appetite for destruction. Like cut up important papers into shreds or paint light switches with fingernail polish. Draw black x’s on the walls with Sharpies. Quiet was a bad sign as it meant she was probably trashing something you held near and dear to your heart. That was our angry period in life 🤣
@RadioactiveIM3@jmillinmac I don’t blame any woman that has an anon account on X. There are many creepy weirdos out there that don’t understand boundaries.
@mwfoutch1 The electrical engineer I cut my teeth under used to say: There are three topics that are guaranteed to start an argument:
1. Talk about politics
2. Talk about religion
3. Talk about grounding among a group of electricians
As America celebrates 250 years, our newest specialty livery honors the selfless contributions of our nation’s veterans, including the 8,300 military veterans, of which 1,500 are active members of the National Guard and Reserve forces currently at United.
Painted on both a 737-800 and 787-10, you can track the Stars and Stripes planes with these tail numbers: N91007 and N78285
Unfortunately it’s seat 12, 13, or 14A(depending on configuration) on a Boeing 737 where the air ducting travels and so there’s no window. The only airline I’ve seen avoid this is Southwest because they have no first class cabin. https://t.co/2iR3lhqvLH is your best bet for checking for annoying issues like this before grabbing a particular seat.
I semi agree with this. I do think the entertainment industry has lost a lot of the horsepower by being so utterly partisan. That and social media has done a fair amount to democratize thought.
It used to be that a celeb could step up to the microphone and say “____ is bad” the news media would pick it up and and watching TV, you’d be given the impression that outside of your little world everyone else believed that ____ is bad. With social media it’s a lot easier to see that at least there’s a debate about whether or not ____ is bad.
That’s the fun part of NYC, they’re the start of Anarcho-tyranny in the US. The police and government have plenty of time to harass law abiding citizens over small violations, but it’s too much work to put a stop to this. Even if they arrested one of these miscreants, the DA would just give them a pat on the wrist and tell them be a good boy and don’t do that again then let them off.
@MCCCANM In 2023 when I was flying to HNL every couple of weeks for work occasionally the pilots would challenge the passengers to figure out the equal time point. I always managed to screw up the number.
@jmillincook My grandparents as I miss all of them, but the most my one Grandpa who was the most like me. We could talk machining, welding, mechanics, and other technical stuff for days. I would give anything to spend another afternoon with him.
@FiredUpCoug We rode it last weekend, I’ve heard people complain that it’s a rough ride, but that wasn’t my experience. I wonder if they recently replaced wheels or something.
