@Math_files I always wonder how Leibniz would have approached the Maya numeration system. Base-20 (vigesimal) is almost binary on steroids. Fascinating for astronomy and even quantum computing.

Yet today, learning vigesimal is a tiny niche, treated more as history than mathematics.

Meanwhile, folks who came here on dodgy study permits and as low skilled TFWs who barely speak basic English get PR to deal with the huge overhang of temporary residents and overstayers from the Trudeau years.
