@JomboyMedia I have never rooted for a NY team to win a title before, going into this series in game 1-2 I had changed my mind as I thought they deserved to win compared to Spurs fans and was actually rooting for the Knicks but the way their fans act made me abandon that.
I mostly agree with this with the following caveat:
It might not be legal fraud to grab 1,000 ballots, mark your favorite candidate, and have a homeless person sign it with a smiley face
But it is a moral fraud because you've just disenfranchised 1000 voters who actually care about their vote, care about the results, care about their city
If that is what is happening (which seems likely) then it calls into question the very nature of representative democracy. Why do we even have a vote if the vote result isn't determined by individuals but by NGOs who can harvest as many votes as they want using these strategies?
@MBB_theB@ytzen Immigration is the biggest lightning rod issue and a clear majority of Germans (and most other European countries) want significantly less yet nothing ever changes. What good is democracy if those concerns are never listened to by the parties in these coalitions?
@Oilfield_Rando I misread it and was confused similarly because I knew there was no way France would execute people even for heinous actions like that.
@DailyMail It's sad that I misread this as France doing the executing and knowing something must be inaccurate since they would never do that even to monsters like that.
@HTBullionSpeaks@iluminatibot I absolutely am not upset someone has money, usually I am in your shoes arguing against people arguing for more taxes and about them paying an unspecified "fair share".
Also I've worked at a major art museum for the last 15 years but yes I know nothing about this.
@HTBullionSpeaks@iluminatibot That's a lot of words to get around the fact that $20m never exchanged hands as payment for anything...and as if I can roll into GoodWill and ask them for a $20m tax receipt for a baseball card I donate because other baseball cards get sold for millions of dollars.
