The hard lessons in life make you appreciate the Lord even more when you find Him. I wandered far from the Lord doing things my way for far too many years and I found no peace and a lot of pain. “It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
Living your own life away from the Lord is like diving in the ocean. You can only stay under for so long. The world gives people oxygen tanks and tries to convince people that they won’t run out. Some believe the world, never resurface and perish. Some dive too deep and implode before their tanks run out. Some realise that the world lied and come back up.
@PhilipBramblet@farmingandJesus Romans 13 explains why governments exist in a fallen world, not why killing is morally good and it never authorizes individuals to act as God’s judgment. Romans 12:17-21 and remember God doesn’t contradict Himself. So then you have to understand that you misinterpreted 13.
@PhilipBramblet@SamuelRob_x @truthinchristhq @farmingandJesus Important distinction that is when He returns to judge. His first coming served a few purposes, one of which was to show us THE way to be as a human. In his actions or words you can’t find what you wish to find.
@brian_matthews@farmingandJesus Sorry for lack of clarity. Jesus ministry on earth. When He was on earth showing us His way where did He permit or show that killing or violence was allowed?
@Randomlyscript@johnnikk7@David_Y3 I’ll flip this around first and ask you to show me where Jesus says He’s the messiah in the Quran? If you can’t find it then by your logic He’s not?
@Jvnior This argument is either stupid or used with the intent to deceive. If Hindus submit to their God are they Muslim? No. Sikh, no. So what makes a Muslim? Someone who follows the teachings of Muhammad. These were first shared only 1400 years ago. Nobody was Muslim before Muhammad.
@Justhuman230@Jvnior Don’t fall for the lies. Even if the Quran was 99% identical in doctrine to the Old & New Testament we were instructed in Deut 13 to reject it. God does not contradict Himself. If a prophet contradicts God ignore him. As Jesus said “take heed that no one deceives you”.
@Jvnior @centraldawah23 Kissing the stone is Pagan. Isaiah had his lips touched by a coal from the alter to signify purification so that what would come forth from his mouth would be pure. Not a black rock likely from space.
@Jvnior The Quran contradicts the Old and New Testament and God doesn’t contradict Himself. Deuteronomy chapter 13 tells us what to do with the Quran and Muhammad’s teachings. You’ve gone astray brother. God willing you will see the truth
@salahudeen33 Deceptive as always. Santa Claus came from Saint Nicholas of Greece who gave in secret to children. He followed the Lord and was remembered for it. The birth of our Lord was estimated to be around the 25th but they put it on that date to take people away from pagan festivals.
@truthinchristhq @Jvnior Ask them what the messiah is. Not who but what. They call Jesus the messiah but don’t know what it means. Isaiah 53 outlines what the messiah would do. Suffer and die for the forgiveness of sins for many. Deut 13 if a prophet comes with a contradiction don’t believe him.
@ffgtw_x@HalalNation_ Christian Polemics: As Christian missionaries used Isaiah 53 to argue for Jesus' divinity, the passage became problematic within Judaism, as noted by this R.L. Solberg article.
@ffgtw_x@HalalNation_ “He will see His seed.” Though the messiah will die He will see His seed (those that He gave faith/reborn) because “He shall prolong His days”. Though the messiah died His days will be prolonged/continuing (eternal life).
@ffgtw_x@HalalNation_ Using the Jewish interpretation of chapter 53 AFTER Jesus left doesn’t say much? Because they rejected Jesus of course they will change the interpretation. Before Jesus the Jews recognised this chapter as talking about the messiah.
