@DyfedPowys just passed two escaped horses running north along the A483 about halfway between Llanbister and Llanddewi, something's gonna hit them if it hasn't already
@BeeNetwork can I make a suggestion to all tram drivers that if you're going to repeatedly reboot the tram to try to fix a fault in a heatwave, you give people the chance to get off it first? Don't let more on and only announce it after the doors are locked.
@OctopusEnergy hi folks, two things, my smart meter hasn't been sending you anything since November apparently, and also First Utility owed me some money from nine years ago and I'd like to either withdraw it or move the credit over to my active account
@northernassist just wanted to say thank you to the conductor on the 13:31 from Hebden Bridge to Manchester Victoria for their gentle and kind approach to a nervous passenger who was struggling with overwhelm and anxiety.
@thetrainline@northernassist picture this: I buy an adv. ticket for the 10:54 from Chinley to Manchester, only for it and the next two trains to be cancelled. Walk to Whaley Bridge. When I'm nearly there, I look again and the 11:54 and 12:54 have been uncancelled.
@thetrainline@northernassist experience tells me that my ticket won't be accepted on the Whaley Bridge service and I'll be at risk of a penalty fare if I try, so I buy a ticket from Whaley too. My original train was cancelled, but I can't get a refund from either of you.
@YWHelp I mean my point is that it seems like it's rainwater drainage flooding rather than groundwater rising up. I'm not gonna bother DMing because this is a saga that's played out over the last 3 years now and it's no closer to being resolved.
@YWHelp if the water level in my cellar rises by two feet when it rains and then drains away again as soon as it stops, would you say that's groundwater?
Water is entering from outside the property, for clarity.
@northernassist you've offered many unhinged fantasies over the years, but suggesting that the bus from Victoria to Rochdale takes half an hour during rush hour is the best yet, especially when the connecting trains are only once an hour.
@northernassist Moving now. Just very used to trains mysteriously being reported as moving before they really are, something to do with delay repay. You'd be amazed how many northern trains I've got in recent years that have apparently arrived exactly 59 minutes late when I'm still stuck on them
@Ocado one of your vans just went past here doing at least 50 towards a SLOW sign and a playground full of kids. Someone needs a suspension at the very least.
It doesn't matter how many times I see @benpartridge in person, when I listen to @beefanddairy I'm picturing a sort of budget Dan Walker, all blonde mop and shattered dreams. Like if you ordered him from Temu.
@YWHelp thanks also for the unsolicited offer of compensation that was intended for my neighbours. It's good to know that they're getting more than twice as much as I am, though still without any explanation of calculations involved. I shall be reporting this to the ICO.
@YWHelp thanks for the unsolicited offer of compensation for the flooding in my cellar for *checks notes* the last two and a half years. Unfortunately your offer doesn't even cover the cost of a month's running of the sump I had to install to limit the structural damage.
