@AndrewNixon22 2. We run chaff cart so can easily do sieve loss and that was our main problem, stay below 10t/hr & we were closer to 1% push it to 12-14t/hr & 3-5%.
About 0.5% rota loss.
I do wonder how much the baffling in the rear for catching rye grass is effecting the air flow.
@AndrewNixon22 1.Thanks, we were running sw LW slot slot in the end did have skip skip in rears to start.
Didn’t run rota that hard max I tried was 700.
Seives were all around those numbers, I’m the end had to close bottom to 6 otherwise sample had to much large admixture.
Mainly 40ft windrows.
@ipaddockapps I was shocked at the cost of the coils V’s the straights after I order them, and scratched my head thinking I can by 15m of straight from liquid systems to one 3m coil from furrow management…. Yes they are different sizes 5mm yellow vs 6mm coils from furrow manager.
@BenHobley@stewartavery8 I was keen to do it but doubling the rate didn’t makes sense & also in the 3yrs of dry starts pair row seemed to take 10-15mm rain event to get a even germination, single row with SE14 at the seed 5mm and it’s away.
@russellcreedon@kache_miller@MYPrecisionAg Yeah we do parallel sowing 1st then finish on outside/headland laps. No disturbance of seed/fert/liquid system placement then.
Also no running over already worked land compacting everything you’ve sown.
@Damienstephens_@lingy_smith The 3m wheel spacing kit seems well put together, tho the turning circle is definitely not small we just make it back on line with 12m swath passes when spreading...
