In our last thread we saw how the chariot innovation were based on shared innovations across various cultures and not one group alone. I'm now going to disprove the long persistent myth of the vehicle being invented in Sintashta and show you how they weren't at all chariots. 🧵
THREAD 🧵. Chariotry of warfare and racing across pre-Steppe Bronze Age cultures and civilisations. We shall talk about the shared innovations and technologies of chariots and horse/equid culture pointing to a sophisticated chariot elite warfare unrelated to the Steppes.
Now, since modern groups don't model with CS_MLBA, but instead with later groups with negligible EA, the admixture dates being mostly in the 1st millennium BCE from multiple databases, Narasimhan in his latest 2024 report admitted the failure of his model regarding modern groups
@yajnadevam@agenetics1 Yeah! Included some other data as well, like Scythians and derived groups. Will come in handy against those who keep peddling this same BS.
MEGA-THREAD 🧵🔥🔥, Debunking the outdated claim of East Asian admixture by Narasimhan 2019 as a denial of later migrations by Iron Age Central Asians for excess steppe in modern Indians and also presenting best proxy groups to model modern Indians.
Kangju samples from Kazakhstan with high Sintashta_MLBA and low EA admix (6-12%). These were ignored by Narasimhan et al 2019 as Steppe source for modern Indians (not rejected tho). Thanks to @EQX71twgw
This is a good thread for anyone willing to wade into the depths of this debate. Narasimhan 2019 marshalled paper-thin biases and shady reasoning to eliminate the best fit candidate for Steppes ancestry in modern Indians.
Again here this Kashmiri Pandit sample would model best having Kaz_Kangju from 200 CE as source for his excess Steppe. Kangju ancestry profile is seen in the data from 300BCE onwards, so this steppe admixture in Pandit seems rather late. @SR1_aryan@SuN_BR0NZ3

Also modern Indian groups would model best having TKM_IA and Kangju as source populations instead of CS_MLBA, since most of these have little to no EA admix. Also considering the fact it would further get diluted on passing through non-EA regions over several generations.
1200 -400 BC samples had no evidence male Migration and all of the male steppe in Modern indians derived multiple genetics tools are majority Post 800-500 and even lower. Mainly in Punjab, Sindh, gujarat. Mean Admix dates themselves are lower. Scholars take mean Admix dates not..
At Margiana burial no.3200, a small chariot(?) was buried with a young horse foal over it and a dog nearby. The dog is probably sacrificed(?) for royalty.bEvidently they had small carts pulled by young horse foals. What exactly could be the purpose? To train them? Or for royalty?
Left, Swat Medieval sample. Right, Swat Iron Age sample. Observe how the Iron Age sample is closer to IVCp, whereas the Medieval sample is closer to Central Asian/Steppe groups. @SR1_aryan@Indic_Arya_LM@yajnadevam
@AgentSaffron Brahmins aren't having highest steppe in South Asia.
You are sharing from 2019 report, lot of new info and questions has been placed after 2019.
The same 2019 paper has said - Steppe Ancestry seen in ancient samples, 1200-300 BC was female Mediated.

I have been summing the total of R1a-Y3+ males on the Steppes in the Bronze and Iron Ages. The total is 7 (8 if one dubious find is added). The spread is <1.5% when divided over the total number of male samples (600). Against the avg Steppes ancestry (18%) in Indians, this is a strong indicator of female biased ancestry.
Claiming late steppe admix dates is due to mixing between indians or endogamy has no strong base and stupid
Admix dates are estimated by decay of LD signal. LD signal strength depends on allele frequency difference between admixing populations
When groups having similar allele frequency mix. This won't give a strong LD signal.
This isn't taken as late "pulse"
Alder dates which I showed on multiple modern pops shows good fits. these dates are mostly reflecting the strong pulses.
You don't even know this. Nut case.
