@JarekFA that the corner in question is a heavily trafficked intersection of 2 two way streets and is already extremely narrow.. We seek a better solution...one where the elevator perhaps can be sited on Metropolitan which is much wider and more commercial.Common sense that works for all
@ohhleary@DavilaAssembly not hostile... we are asking for a common sense plan. One where an elevator is sited on a block (like Metropolitan) that can support it. The additional staircases are completely unnecessary according to MTA's own pre-pandemic ridership numbers.
@DavilaAssembly, thank you for meeting with us on Thursday. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our concerns and hopeful that we can work together to revise the MTA's plan for Lorimer/Metro complex. #wasteful#urbanplanning. #community#commonsense
@2AvSagas@pinguman789@Union_Tpke @vanshnook @DaveCoIon@danrivoli Do you know the block? Very narrow street and sidewalk. 2 way street and a bus route. To be clear, we are asking that it be sited on Metropolitan which is much wider and more commercial. Plan is flawed and that's what we want to highlight. Do it correctly since it's permanent.
@pinguman789@Union_Tpke @vanshnook @DaveCoIon@danrivoli@2AvSagas they're NOT reopening the covered staircases; building two NEW staircases. Pre-pandemic ridership numbers (13,985/daily) do not support the need for more entrances. 8 entrances now; this will give us 12 (same as USQ) Unnecessary construction, using our little sidewalk space.
